The challenge

This case study features the Radisson Beach Resort Dubai, an iconic 389-room hotel with premium facilities, including on-site dining, two swimming pools, a spa and a gym. The hotel wanted to reduce its energy consumption and lower its environmental impact, in line with its sustainability and environmental policies.

Our solution

To support these objectives, OH4 energy-saving technology was installed on the resort’s closed-loop swimming pool cooling plant. A system that was working continuously throughout the day. The installation was carried out on one of the swimming pools as an initial demonstration to assess the performance and energy-saving potential of the OH4 technology.

The technology was installed on 1 October 2025, with performance data collected through to 31 December 2025. This data was compared with the same period in 2024 to evaluate changes in energy usage and operating costs.

For hotels, energy efficiency is now a business necessity. With heating, cooling, and hot water accounting for up to 70% of a hotel’s total energy consumption, even small inefficiencies can quickly drain profits. Yet guests still expect comfort.

The challenge, therefore, is: how do you reduce hotel energy consumption without compromising guest experience?

A New Kind of Pressure on Hotels

UK and EU legislation is tightening.

Commercial properties, including hotels, must meet stricter EPC and energy intensity standards set out in the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations. The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has also launched a hospitality support scheme to help smaller hotels cut carbon and reduce energy use.

For hotels, these developments make energy performance both a cost issue and a compliance requirement. Energy efficiency is no longer optional. It is expected.

Why Traditional Fixes Fall Short

Guests expect a consistently comfortable stay. Warm rooms in winter, cool spaces in summer, and instant hot showers at any hour. When that expectation isn’t met, reviews suffer, occupancy drops, and brand reputation takes a hit far faster than any energy saving can compensate for.

That’s why many hotels are now moving beyond surface-level measures to focus on how energy is used, not just how it’s supplied. Technologies that enhance system efficiency, like advanced heat transfer systems, help maintain consistent temperatures while reducing the energy input required.

In other words, smarter energy management means comfort stays constant while consumption falls. For operators balancing guest experience with operational costs, this is where the biggest long-term gains lie.

How OH4 Addresses the Core Problem

OH4 energy saving technology targets inefficiency inside the system itself. It uses a magnetic frequency heating solution to improve how water molecules behave. By enhancing hydrogen bonding, the OH4 heat transfer system allows water to absorb and release heat more effectively.

Less energy is needed to achieve the same temperature. Boilers and pumps run more efficiently. Comfort stays constant while consumption falls. Less energy is needed to achieve the same temperature. Boilers and pumps run more efficiently, saving both money and carbon. Comfort stays constant while consumption falls.

Unlike complex retrofits, OH4 installation is non-intrusive and completed within a day, no downtime or guest disruption needed. It starts working immediately and reaches full efficiency within ten days.

Real Results, Not Promises

Scepticism is understandable. Many hotel managers have heard “too good to be true” claims before. But OH4’s results are verified through Eden Energy Partners’ transparent process, which includes metered data and performance reports at three, six, and twelve months.

Across the UK, hotels using OH4 have seen an average 24% reduction in fuel use, with heat pump systems achieving up to 40%. You can read about how the Headland Hotel saved £54,000 on its annual energy bill here.

Guests are also increasingly choosing hotels that demonstrate environmental responsibility. Cutting energy waste through proven technology like OH4 helps hotels meet this expectation while strengthening ESG credentials. For hotels subject to corporate sustainability reporting or emissions targets, we provide Scope 1 and 2 carbon reduction certification to evidence measurable impact.

Immediate Savings and Long-Term Value

Energy costs will remain volatile, and legislation will only grow stricter. The hotels that act now, those that combine efficiency with comfort, will be the ones that stay competitive, profitable, and compliant.

OH4 gives hotel operators a tangible way to achieve that balance. A proven, scientifically backed system that reduces consumption without affecting the guest experience.

Across every sector, energy efficiency is no longer just a sustainability checkbox; it is a financial imperative. Rising energy prices, corporate carbon targets, and shareholder scrutiny have made it clear that energy performance must deliver both environmental and economic value. But many businesses are finding that traditional approaches to decarbonisation come with long payback periods, operational disruption, and uncertain results.

We believe reducing carbon should go hand in hand with improving profitability. Our approach is built around a simple idea: every unit of energy saved should translate into a measurable return on investment. We achieve this through OH4, advanced energy-saving technology that transforms how your heating operates.

What Is OH4 and How Does It Work?

OH4 is a magnetic frequency heating solution that improves heat transfer within your existing system. The heat transfer system alters the structure of water molecules, enhancing hydrogen bonding and improving thermal conductivity.

In practice, this means water heats more efficiently, requiring less energy to achieve the same output. Whether your site operates on gas, oil, or LPG, OH4 begins delivering results immediately, reaching full efficiency within just 10 days.

It is a fit-and-forget solution, requiring no maintenance and backed by a 10-year guarantee.

Immediate Savings, Proven Results

Whether you’re managing a pub, hotel, care home, or manufacturing site, energy waste often hides in plain sight. Systems work harder than necessary because of inefficient heat transfer. We target this inefficiency at the molecular level, improving system performance without replacing your boilers or heat pumps.

When installed, the technology typically reduces fuel consumption by an average of 24% for gas systems, and 26–40% for heat pumps. These results are verified through Eden’s transparent process, which includes metered tracking and reporting at 3, 6, and 12 months post-installation.

Because installation takes just one day with no downtime, businesses can see instant benefits without disruption.

And thanks to flexible payment options, most clients find the system cashflow positive from day one, with monthly payments offset entirely by the savings it generates.

Verified Savings, ESG Reporting, and Certification

We’ll provide you with a comprehensive ESG readiness assessment and formal Scope 1 and 2 carbon reduction certification. These reports provide independent validation of your environmental performance, helping your organisation demonstrate compliance, support investor reporting, and strengthen sustainability credentials.

By enhancing your existing infrastructure rather than replacing it, OH4 offers one of the fastest returns on investment of any low-carbon technology currently available in the UK.

While carbon reduction remains an important goal, the financial outcomes from OH4 installations often far outweigh sustainability metrics.

For example:

  • A care home group achieved a 27% reduction in gas use with a projected ROI of over 2700% across 10 years.
  • A hospitality business reduced energy demand without interrupting guest comfort, cutting consumption by over 20% in the first month.

These are measurable, reportable outcomes backed by actual meter readings.

Energy efficiency shouldn’t be a gamble. By implementing OH4, your business can move beyond generic carbon targets and into a measurable, data-backed ROI that reduces costs, cuts emissions, and supports ESG goals with verified certification.

Between 2021 and 2023, wholesale energy prices spiked to record highs, with businesses often left unprotected by government support schemes. The British Beer and Pub Association reported that energy bills for some pubs increased by more than 150%, adding up to an extra £60,000 a year. Hotels and restaurants, which must provide heating, hot water, and climate control around the clock, have experienced the same strain.

While wholesale prices have since dipped from their peak, they remain volatile and unpredictable. Long-term forecasts suggest that energy costs will not return to pre-crisis levels any time soon, meaning hospitality businesses need to take control themselves. Energy efficiency is one of the few areas where you can directly reduce costs while improving operational resilience.

Why Heating and Hot Water Are the Biggest Opportunities

In hospitality, heating and hot water are non-negotiables. Guests expect warm hotel rooms, hot showers, comfortable dining areas, and safe kitchen operations. But these expectations come at a cost. Heating and hot water typically account for 60–70% of a venue’s overall energy use. Unlike other costs, such as supplier contracts or staff wages, this is an area where technology can make an immediate and measurable difference.

By focusing on the efficiency of your heating and hot water systems, you can reduce one of your largest controllable expenses. And unlike energy price caps or temporary government relief schemes, these improvements last year after year.

This is where solutions like OH4 energy saving technology come into play.

How OH4 Works

The OH4 energy saving device has been developed to unlock more efficiency from the heating and hot water systems you already use. Instead of replacing boilers or installing costly new infrastructure, OH4 optimises the performance of your existing system.

The technology alters the behaviour of water molecules, improving how they absorb and transfer heat. In practice, this means:

  • Less energy is needed to heat water to the desired temperature.
  • Systems reach target temperatures faster.
  • Energy consumption is reduced without compromising comfort or reliability.

Crucially, OH4 begins to deliver results immediately. It reaches full efficiency within just 10 days of installation, meaning businesses can see real savings in their first energy bill after installation.

Real Savings You Can Rely On

On average, gas, oil, and LPG heating systems using OH4 see a 24% saving, while heat pumps achieve 26–40% savings. For pubs already struggling with energy costs, that’s the difference between cutting opening hours and staying profitable.

Hotels, where annual heating and cooling bills often top £100,000, stand to save tens of thousands of pounds every year.

And because installation is non-intrusive, with no downtime and no ongoing maintenance required, you don’t need to disrupt your guests or service to make it happen.

Meeting Carbon Goals

Guests are actively seeking out venues with strong environmental credentials, and regulators are increasing pressure to reduce emissions. The government’s Net Zero strategy requires businesses across all sectors to contribute, and hospitality is under growing scrutiny due to its high energy use.

OH4 addresses both cost and carbon. By reducing energy consumption, it directly lowers emissions without forcing you to compromise on comfort or service. For many businesses, it provides a way to align with green goals and demonstrate a genuine commitment to sustainability. A commitment that’s not just good for the planet, it also builds loyalty among customers who make environmentally conscious choices.

Why Act Now

The case for adopting energy-efficient technology is clear. Every month you wait is another month of higher bills and lost savings. And with flexible payment plans, the financial barrier is minimal. OH4 is designed to be cashflow positive from day one, with monthly payments covered by the savings you make. This makes the decision less about investment and more about redirecting your existing spend.

The hospitality sector is competitive, and those who adapt fastest will be best placed to weather ongoing volatility in energy markets.

Eden Energy Partners provide full consultation, tailored proposals, and performance reporting so you can see your results clearly.

If you’re ready to reduce costs, protect margins, and show customers your commitment to sustainability, now is the time to act.

The challenge

A commercial landlord with a strong focus on carbon reduction wanted to lower the energy consumption of one of their industrial units in Indian Queens, Cornwall.

The property was heated by a 30kW combi boiler supplying a radiator system for office use during working hours. Although the unit’s gas demand was relatively modest, the landlord’s broader aim was to cut carbon emissions across their entire estate.

Prior to the OH4 installation, the site consumed 10,507 kWh of gas annually, producing 1.9 tonnes of CO₂ and costing £735 per year. The challenge was finding a simple and cost-effective way to cut energy usage without replacing existing equipment.

Our solution

In May 2024, OH4 Energy Saving Technology was installed at the industrial unit.

  • Installation cost: £350 + VAT
  • Fitted in less than one hour
  • No downtime or disruption to the heating or hot water system

Before installation, a 15% reduction in gas usage was projected and guaranteed at least 10%.

The results

The system’s impact was tracked using monthly meter readings adjusted for degree days to provide a fair, weather-independent comparison.

Between May 2024 and May 2025, the industrial unit achieved:

  • 16% reduction in kWh per degree day
  • £117.60 annual saving on heating costs
  • 0.4 tonnes of carbon saved
  • 33.6% return on investment within the first year

The outcome demonstrates that OH4 delivers meaningful savings even for smaller commercial sites, helping landlords achieve both financial savings and measurable carbon reductions.

The challenge

Heating and hot water are among the biggest energy costs for large residential properties. At Dingley Dell, two 30kW gas boilers, one serving the main residence and another dedicated to the swimming pool, were responsible for a significant share of overall running costs.

Like many property owners, the team at Dingley Dell wanted to reduce reliance on expensive gas consumption, lower emissions, and future-proof against rising energy prices.

Our solution

In September 2024, OH4 Energy Saving Technology was installed at Dingley Dell. The installation included:

  • 50cm of OH4 applied to the pipework of the 30kW boiler serving the main residence
  • A further 50cm fitted to the pipework of the 30kW boiler dedicated to the swimming pool

The installation was completed in just one day, with no downtime. Residents and facilities continued as normal while the system was fitted.

To ensure results were measured accurately, gas usage was tracked through smart meter data across full billing cycles. Degree day adjustments were applied to account for weather differences, eliminating bias and creating a fair comparison.

The results

The impact of OH4 at Dingley Dell has been significant.

  • Heating fuel consumption reduced by 40.6%
  • Annual projected cost savings: £4,242
  • Annual projected carbon savings: 12,923 KG CO₂

Beyond the numbers, the property has gained a long-term energy efficiency solution that requires no servicing, creates no downtime, and continues to reduce both bills and emissions year after year. For properties with high heating demands, from hotels and schools to care homes and leisure facilities, the OH4 system offers a proven way to achieve financial and environmental goals simultaneously.
